Rep. Marino - Appropriations Committee

Working for you.

As your State Representative, I know that I work for you and remain committed to the issues that actual matter to our neighbors.

More than ever, we cannot be complacent. We must remain vigilant to further force our government to set clear priorities that protect seniors on fixed-incomes and ensure our hard-working residents can get ahead - not just get by.

Steve was elected to the Michigan House of Representatives in 2016 and serves nearly 90,000 residents in Harrison Township and portions of Clinton and Macomb Townships. He is committed to focusing on the issues that matter and always listening to the residents he works for.

Prior to serving in the Michigan Legislature, Steve was a Macomb County Commissioner and small-business owner of a public affairs firm in Macomb County.

Steve graduated from Michigan State University and was awarded a B.A. in Economics, a B.A. in Public Policy and Public Administration, and a B.A. in Political Theory and Constitutional Democracy from James Madison College.

As a Macomb County Commissioner, Steve represented roughly 70,000 residents from Harrison Township and St. Clair Shores. One of three officers, he was reelected Sergeant-at-Arms of the Board of Commissioners and Vice-Chair of the Justice and Public Safety Committee.

Additionally, Marino served as Macomb County's delegate to the SEMCOG Executive Committee, the National Association of Counties’ Steering Committee on Finance, Pensions, and Intergovernmental Affairs; Michigan Association of Counties' Economic Development Committee; and the Macomb County Chamber of Commerce's Public Policy and Military Affairs Committee.
